Day 22
An impromptu road trip to get Mamaw, Stephanie, and Macon.
And you wrote all over yourself with marker. Thanks. But truthfully, there is nothing I would rather do than clean marker off your sweet face.

Riley Claire – 21 Month Newsletter
Dear Riley,
Please don’t write on the wall with Crayons anymore. Ok, now that that’s over, let’s get on to more important things. With the arrival of Summer just around the corner, we have been playing outside so much. We had a water balloon fight with Uncle Timothy,
we went to the zoo,
and we went to Tyler State Park to swim and play.
Oh, we’ve just started eating your favorite food again: watermelon. Last year you could have lived off watermelon and not complained one bit. It’s a good thing I love watermelon too.
You have started taking directions really well. “Riley, go throw this in the trash.” And you do, most of the time. You are such a big help to me in other ways too. Folding clothes, unfolding clothes, sweeping, cleaning the toilet, unloading the dishwasher, and on and on.
I can’t say it enough: you are a real sweetie. You make your Daddy and my days so much better with your sweet smile. How could we have imagined the joy you have brought us? It’s quite an honor to raise you. You are perfect in every way.
Love you sweet girl.
Love,
Momma

Riley’s Room Transformation - Part 1
Since Riley will be getting a new bed sometime soon, I have decided to redecorate just a little bit. When she was born, we decided to decorate in lime green, hot pink, flower, and butterflies.
2 years later and that stuff gets on my nerves! I’ve decided to change things up just a little: lime green, hot pink, and zebra! That’s about as adventurous as I get: one major change. Anyway, I’m going about the change in steps and have completed the first step.
My sister hand painted cut-out letter spelling Riley’s name. We had them hanging on the wall above her bed.
Aren’t I a talented interior designer? We had these hung on the wall with double sided tape. When I took them down, several of them brought the wall down too. As in paint and spackel (sp?). So I really had no choice in where to hang them up this time.
I bought some zebra scrapbook paper and used mod podge to cover the letters. They turned out pretty cute. Next time I will save the mod podge and buy adhesive wrapping paper.
So now I have butterflies and flowers and bugs hanging on the wall that aren’t going to match. I need to either leave them up there, change them up a little, or find something to hang in their place since they will more than likely tear the wall up too. Good thing we are renters!
Day 7
I missed yesterday in my Project 365. We were really busy, that’s my only excuse. Here is an old picture that I love.
Sorry it’s small. I will get another picture up later today.

A Photo A Day For A Year
People will often say that their whole lives flashed before their eyes after they experienced a traumatic event. Perhaps it’s a bit morbid, but I think that sounds pretty incredible.
Whether it is relationships, career, or your fashion sense, recording a photo a day for a whole year leaves you with a rich visual history of life.
Why do it?
Taking a photo a day is a big undertaking with big payoffs. Here are just a few reasons why you should consider doing it:
-Imagine being able to look back at any day of your year and recall what you did, who you met, what you learned… (Often we find it hard to remember what we did just yesterday or even last night, let alone a whole year ago!
-Your year-long photo album will be an amazing way to document your travels and accomplishments, your haircuts and relationships. Time moves surprisingly fast.
